Toshkhana, a leading brand in crewel Industry was established in the year 1987 by our founder Director Shoaib Shahdad after inheriting the art of crewel making from his father Ibrahim Shahdad.
For over two decades Mr Ibrahim Shahdad had dominated the crewel manufacturing scene in Kashmir.
He produced over 4 million yards of high quality crewel for leading US companies like Ethan Allan, Lee Jofa, Kravet, Schumacher etc etc.
We at Toshkhana took the crewel making to a higher level by introducing many innovations such as use of colored base fabric, 2 ply finer wool stitching, introduction of 280 cms wide fabric for bedding industry & introduction of new base fabrics like velvet, jute, linen and silk etc etc.
Our efforts and achievements have been recognized by the export promotion councils and chamber of commerce and many such awards have been bagged by us.
